About Gail Gabriel, MFTGail Torpey Gabriel is a licensed California Marriage and Family Therapist and a California credentialed high school counselor. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Santa Clara in economics with an additional emphasis in philosophy. She later earned her masters degree in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling at the California State University Hayward where she also completed another year of study for her Pupil Personnel Credential. She completed a two-year internship at the Valley Community Center in Pleasanton and a two-year private practice internship with Lyn Bieber, MFT, also in Pleasanton. For more than twenty years, she has worked with individuals, couples, families, and groups in various therapeutic settings. She has also served students and families for many years as a high school counselor at Village High School and Foothill High School, especially promoting the needs of at-risk students. She has taught communication classes, peer counseling, and student resiliency strategies to students, families and teachers. Gail has continued her extensive training in individual, couples and family therapy throughout her career. She participates frequently in various professional conferences and maintains an active membership in the following associations:
